I was commissioned by DreamWorks LLC to paint a 10’ x 84’ mural for the film, “The Last Castle” filmed in Nashville in 2001. It was painted on a plaster wall in the cafeteria of the the old state prison. After the film was over, I asked DreamWorks if I could cut the wall down into 21 four foot wide sections. I had it on display for three years in my art gallery. In 2004, I donated the mural to Cherokee Historical and Preservation Society in Gaffney, South Carolina. The mural depicted the Battle of Cowpens (1781) just a few miles from Gaffney.
Below is a photo of me working on the mural and a photo of the mural in the cafeteria - the way it was shown in the movie.
